Machinery

I'm not sure what it is exactly that makes me love old machinery. Maybe it's the sheer genius of using nothing but math and physics to do marvelous things. Without computers or a single piece of unholy plastic to hide the brilliance of it all. And after a hundred years, it still works.

This metal lathe was abandoned at a scrap metal yard. I didn't take any measurements but it must have been designed to handle 8 - 10 foot stock. It was massive and incredible.
