The Countdown is On
March16, 2012
It's been a little over six months since I hosted my very first workshop at nook. And by very first, I don't just mean at nook. I mean it was my very first workshop ever. To say I was nervous and excited would be skimming the surface. For weeks, I worked myself up into a frenzy and it wasn't until everyone was there, sitting around the table and I started to talk was there finally a shift. All of a sudden, I stopped thinking about how many people would come, would I have enough information to fill 2 hours, would I be able to talk for two hours without babbling, did I have parsley in my teeth. All of the reasons I love letterpress became the only important thing and it was so easy to share that information with all of the eager faces around the table. Time spun out of control and we zoomed past the two hour mark. It was a great night.
All of that worry, procrastination, buckling down, and focusing on creating a good workshop was so worth it. Nook has asked me to do it again. In less than two weeks, on Thursday, March 29 at 7pm, I will be hosting Designing For Letterpress. Just click here to read up on the details of the workshop and purchase your ticket.
I hope to see you there. I'm already looking forward to it.
