An Easter Egg Garland

March 18, 2012

After the craziness of Christmas, I crave the blankness of January. I love when the decorations come down and the house seems bare again. It feels so refreshing. But we're nearing the end of March now (where did those three months go?) and I'm ready for spring. The pastels of Easter are a smooth way to transition back into a world of colour. And what would Easter be without decorating some eggs? This year, I thought it might be fun to get a little jump on the decorating and make an easter egg garland using paper. I put together a whimsical design for the Easter eggs, letterpressed them up and then last week, on our March Break, we pulled out the watercolour pencils and made a morning of it.

I was thinking that a few of you might be in the mood for a little colour so I put together some DIY Easter Egg Garlands. There are six eggs and an eight foot long piece of string in each package. You can get them in Lunenburg at Dots and Loops, in Halifax at Inkwell or here in my wee little online shop.

Happy colouring!
