Two Little Quilts
December 22, 2025
When Miss A was born I made her a small quilt. I had a piece of Winnie The Pooh fabric and that’s what determined the size of the quilt. There were no scraps.
Taking inspiration from Pooh and Piglet, I made the back striped with orange, yellow and pink.
And added a tag with her initial and the year she was born.
When Mr. M was born, I thought he should have a blanket of his own. I went with Tonka trucks this time.
On the back I made a simpler stripe pattern using fabric scraps from my stash. My fabric stash is surprisingly small so it’s something of a miracle that I had three perfect colours. I may have found the perfect colours but there was only enough to make a single stripe in each colour instead of the multi-stripe like Miss A’s but I like that they’re different but similar.
The quilt wouldn’t have been complete without a tag that had his initial and the year he was born.
Even small quilts like this are a lot of work but those two cuties are worth it.
