The Keira Top

One of the fabric gems that came from my friend’s sister was this incredible piece of linen. It seemed a lot like a table cloth but it wasn’t finished like one. The embroidery was different on the two ends and the piece itself wasn’t that big. It made me wonder if it was a sampler. Regardless, the cutwork embroidery was too beautiful not to use. At this same time, I had watched Begin Again with Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo and in the movie she wore a little sleeveless top and I was obsessed with it. I decided that it would be worth recreating with this wonderful piece of linen. I highlighted the cutwork on the back and I think it turned out so well. I love wearing this top.
