It’s not the beginning of a new year but there were so many firsts this May that it almost felt like it. There were also flowers. Not every month of the year has flowers so I’m going to include them whenever I can.

Miss A became a big sister for the first time and stayed with me for almost a week.

Mr. M was born. He is the first boy in the family for two generations.

This is my first run in over a year. This is probably Matt’s billionth run this year.

I’m learning how to repair old windows. The biggest thing I’ve learned so far is that old windows are amazing!

It was warm enough to sit out on my porch and read for the first time this year.

I’ve never seen tulips this small before.

I’ve never seen these flowers before. I love the bright yellow stamens against the lavender purple.

The light through the window on this particular morning stopped me in my tracks.

I fogged up the lens and then took this photo. It was late in the afternoon but I love how the light makes it look more like morning.
